Thanksgiving aka Baby Girl Where Are You?!

So when we told my parents we were expecting it went a little like this,
Me:"Mom, are you coming out for Thanksgiving this year?"
Mom: "No, we have too many trips planned this Summer"
Me: "Ok I guess we'll have to get someone else to come help me with the baby"
Mom: "What the...are you kidding me?!?!"
Then commenced the excitement and tears, etc, etc. We weren't planning on telling the siblings for a few more weeks but Jenna and Hailey were apparently in the background when we were skyping...sneaky little devils.
So anyways right then and there my family decided to come to our house for Thanksgiving because we just knew Leah would be here by her due date of Nov. 16th and everyone could meet her and love on her. WRONG. haha. Leah decided to come the day after everyone left (except for my mom thank goodness). Anyways we still had a great time that week. We definitely did a lot more then we would have. In fact in hindsight I'm glad no one was here because the first few weeks after having her were spent sitting on the couch in pjs not wanting to move. It would not have been fun times.

So Mom, Dad, Jenna, Kyra, and Hailey arrived on Tuesday morning and the first thing Hailey wanted to do was go shoot guns!! So Matt took her and Dad shooting. Jenna (the swimmer) had to go to the YMCA to practice her swimming but when we got there they said it was closed to the public. She was distraught but them I had a brilliant idea to check out the LA Fitness right by our house. Sure enough they had a pool and Jenna was able to swim every day.
The next day we hung out watching movies and playing games (Words with Friends!) Each of us on our ipads, iphones, itouches. We didn't even speak for like 3 hours, just played back and forth haha. Crystal and her boyfriend Dan arrived Wednesday night.
Thursday morning Dad, Matt, and Dan played in the Turkey Bowl while we watched. Then we had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with the family plus Uncle Mark and Aunt Kathy. That night we hit up Walmart's black Friday (or black Thursday?) sale. Matt saw that they had a 60 inch Vizio for $698 and thought it was a fantastic deal! He decided to head over there at 6pm just to see if he had a chance of getting one. When he got there they had 10 tickets left so he stood in line for 4 hours with my Dad and got the TV. He loves it...I mean really loves it haha. My sisters and I headed over to the DVD sale at 8pm and it was crazy....people are just crazy.
Friday Dad, Matt, Dan, and Uncle Mark went golfing with some other guys in our ward. The girls went shopping at Target. That night Matt and I decided to go to Triage to have the baby monitored (long story saved for birth story post). We spent all night there and everything was good. My family spent the evening in Chandler at a wedding reception.
Saturday Matt and Dad hiked the Superstition Mountains and the girls went to see Wreck It Ralph. It was cute.
Sunday Crystal left. We were sad to see her go because baby girl hadn't made it yet but we just knew she would come before the rest of them left! HA.
Monday I went to the doctor with my mom and dad and afterwards we visited Matt at the hospital. Well Tuesday came and as I drove my Dad and sisters to the airport I wanted to cry but I held back the tears knowing my Dad would be back in a few months.

This generation and their devices!
So Lauren was unable to make it down for Thanksgiving and so she sent me a text during our dinner asking if the baby had come yet. I said yes and she asked for a picture so we sent this one of Jenna haha. Lauren said she was a hideous baby haha Poor Jenny.

Matt and Dad waiting for the TV. Matt looks a little too excited!

Sitting in the triage room waiting, waiting, waiting.....
