Sassy Seattle

My mom's entire side of the family lives in Seattle (except for my Aunt and Uncle who just moved to Phoenix!) Matt has never met them (except for my Aunt Steph who came to our wedding). So when my Mom said she was going to Seattle for a week, we decided to go for a few days.

We had a great time seeing my Grandma, having a huge family dinner, going to the top of the space needle, getting pedis, going to Pike Place Market, watching scary movies, eating yummy sea food, and spending time with family.

Kyra spent a night at the hotel with us in her very own roll away bed!

Can you tell that we are sisters??

Sibling bonding!

Pike Place Market

Had to take a picture of Dad's work place! It is just a mortgage office....PNC hasn't made it to the West yet.

Top of the Space Needle. My cousin works there so he got us in for free. It was so windy and the space needle was swaying...so scary.

It cleared up in time for a picture of downtown!

It was a great trip and a much needed break!

Happy Haunting

Yay for Halloween! We were invited to an adult costume party last weekend and it was the first time I had dressed up since freshman year of college! I really wanted to be either a flapper or red riding hood and I found this pretty modest costume at K-mart so I was happy. The party had the theme 'Fear Factor' and we played some fear factor games. There were three challenges and if you completed your first challenge you could move on and so on. The first challenge was to have one person blind folded and throwing bologna at the other person and then they had to catch it in a bowl....won that so the next challenge was to eat something.....ehhh.....we won the right to have first pick so we chose the 'pigs blood' it was actually v8 with bacon floating it in. We both chugged our glasses and moved on to the next challenge. The final challenge was for one person to search through a bucket full of nasty nasty and find a spider with their color on it (we had the color white). I was lucky and found our spider first. As soon as I found the spider Matt was able to open a box full of gum and start chewing and make a creepy tree! Matt's part of the challenge proved to much harder than mine and his jaw was killing him by the end. We didn't win but came in second! We had so much fun!!

Matt's brother, Jeff, was in the air force for four years and sent Matt one of his uniforms. Matt was in heaven!

Don't you love all of the costumes?!

We also played this hilarious game where you are blindfolded in the middle of a circle and you have to sit on some random persons lap and have them make the sound of some halloween related thing (ghost, zombie, etc) Then you have to guess who it is.....really awkward but hilarious at the same time!

Happy Halloween!!

6 Years

Matt and I celebrated our six year wedding anniversary in August (I just found these pics!) We just had dinner and hung out. We had our 8 year anniversary for our first date a couple of weeks ago! Can't beleive it has been eight years :)

For fun I bought this balloon at the dollar store and within minutes the she-devil bit the string in half and it ended up getting tangled in our fan....it stayed there for many days....gotta love her.

FALL???

I still feel like it's August. I seriously have to keep reminding myself that Halloween is 2 weeks away. The radio reminded me today that there are only 72 shopping days left until Christmas! WOOT. Oh I have been so busy lately. Business is booming and that is awesome!

So here is what we have been up to the last two months besides working!

Skating....see Matt rounding the corner. We went for mutual and I suprisingly had a blast! I didn't even know skate rinks still existed!

We saw West Side Story at the Gammage. It was good! I forgot how they sing about a social worker so that was kind of fun....except it got a little dirty dirty.

Matt was tired and he will kill me if he knows I put this picture up but I gotta do what I gotta do.

I finally got to go to the Desert Botanical Gardens. They were really beautiful. I had a great time.

We went to a Dbacks playoff game with my Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mark. They treated us! The Dbacks rocked the game! Unfortunately they lost the next one and are out of the playoffs :( As are the Phils :( :(
