Baby Shower

I have some of the best friends in the world who spoiled me rotten when they threw Leah's baby shower. Alexa and Poiette threw the shower and everything was perfect. The decorations were so cute and the food was yummy. We had soup and a chocolate fountain! You always wonder how you are going to make friends and fit in when you move to a new place you've never been before. I never thought I would make as good of friends as the ones we made in Connecticut but I was wrong. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life and for Leah to be so loved as well! I know there were a lot of people that helped with the shower by bringing soups and other food.

The only picture I have with the hosts. Alexa sitting next to me and Poiette sitting on the floor. Wish I had taken a  picture with them!

Some of my friends who have had babies this year. Leah is going to be one of 8 or 9 babies and only two are boys!

Advice tree where all of the ladies left me advice. One of the YW left me this piece of advice "Pinterest is your friend" haha

An actual picture of Leah's ultrasound where we found out she was a girl!

They had a photo booth and the YW loved it!

My friend Sebrina made his adorable cake. It was really yummy!
Leah received so many cute outfits and bath supplies! Look at this cute bathing suit. She will be  ready to swim in a few months!

I received two of this same outfit; NB and 3 months. I am keeping both because they are so warm and cute. I received many cat outfits haha.

Halloween Party

Guess I'd better get all of my posts in before baby girl comes. My friend and I hosted a Halloween party a few weeks back and it turned out to be pretty easy and a lot of fun. We had it in her back yard and just did a pot luck dinner, newlywed game, and a movie. The newlywed game was Halloween Themed and had questions like, What is your spouse's greatest fear and Which character best fits your partner’s personality: ghost-transparent and easy to read; bat-night person-comes out at night ready to go; mummy-always wrapped up in themselves or in their work; corpse-lazy and doesn’t clean up after themselves? Matt and I did not move on after round 1 haha. Afterwards we had a screen set up and watched Poltergeist! This year Matt and I decided to go as a Shotgun Wedding Couple! I got my veil from Goodwill for $2 and and Matt just had to buy his mullet and rope. Really easy costumes. We won funniest costume (but I think Matt won and they just said it was for both of us)!!

40 Weeks 1 Day

My due date has come and gone! I know due dates really mean nothing in the scheme of things and I always said I would go late but I can't help but feel a little disappointed.  I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I am progressing so that is good news! I don't feel a thing though. No contractions whatsoever and I feel pretty good! I am sleeping really well and just feel a little uncomfortable towards the end of the day. So I guess being late really isn't that bad! I just hope she comes before my family comes on Wed. We'll see!! Here I am at 40 weeks and here is a picture of little baby squish at yesterday's appointment. I had to have  a BB ultrasound to make sure she is doing ok and she barely passed! She had 30 minutes to do 4 tasks (move, roll over, etc). One of the tasks was that she had to do breathing exercises and she would not do them! The US tech said she would give her one more minute and she finally did them with like 10 seconds to spare! I asked the US tech what I would have had to do if she didn't do them and she said she would have sent me to the hospital to be monitored! Thank goodness she pulled through in the end. The US tech said she was being a naughty baby haha. She kind of was!

I must be the oldest

I was just perusing through a recipe book my mom made for me right before I left for college and I had to share a recipe. I was spoiled as the oldest; I never had to do my own laundry and I never had to cook. Well this just goes to show that she had a lot of confidence in me!

 Recipe

Campbell's Soup
Open can
Put into pan (soup, throw can away)
add 1 can of water
heat and eat

The best part is that she HAD to tell me to pour the soup into the pan and throw the can away. hahaha. I think I've come a long way! Also I might mention the desserts section has one recipe: Ice Cream and that is all it says!

37 Weeks

Look how big she is getting! She had her tiny hand by her face today and the doctor said she doesn't have anywhere to go!!! He still thinks I have 2-3 weeks, no coming early for her. I've been preparing myself for a late baby so it's all good with me!! I just don't want to be in the hospital for Thanksgiving.

PA Reception

Lauren and Jared had their PA reception in late August and I really wanted to go but didn't think I could. I looked up tickets and found a inexpensive flight and then my mom offered to pay half so I thought, why not?! It would be my last trip to PA before the baby and I hadn't been home during the Summer for a couple of years. It turned out that everyone was going to be home except for Crystal, who had to work. I flew in on Thursday and stayed until Tuesday so it was short but sweet! Had to of course hit up Rita's, Wawa, see my bestie Dana, and buy some chocolate pretzels from Asher's. And of course Lauren's reception which is the real reason I went!!

Funny that there is a Rita's here in AZ but I still have to go every time I am in PA! It's just more authentic.
Setting up for the reception. It was held at the Indian Valley Country Club (same place that we had our reception). The DJ was even the same haha 7 years later....
Saw the baby deer that live in the backyard. I love the wildlife of PA!
Head Table
Jared's parents, bride and groom, Mom and Dad
My cute sister
Just had to showcase the food. It was So good. I love food.
Ok I loved this red velvet cake!
BFF Dana!
The reception was perfect. The only thing I didn't like was at the beginning the DJ had the wedding party come in one at a time to music....I thought all of the brides maids would go in together but he made us walk in one by one! We walked in to Girls Just Want To Have Fun and I felt so awkward haha!
