Tucson and Stuff

Last weekend we headed to Tucson to visit Kevin, Cynthia, Emma and Adam. The main drive for this trip was that Cynthia and I could go see Eclipse together! We ended up going to see it after the kids went to bed and the theatre was still pretty full. Kevin had made Cynthia a shirt that said "Team Kevin" on it and had a picture of Kevin flexing his muscles! I meant to take a picture but of course I forgot. I'll have to get her to send me one. We both really liked the movie and maybe even want to see it again!!
Saturday we went to the Tucson Zoo which was quite fun. The Zoo is small but really clean and has some good exhibits. First we fed the giraffes.....

Then we saw the sea otters and fyi, I really want one as a pet. It could live in our pool out back.

We saw the 100 year old lion (really he's not that old, because that would be like a scientific miracle, but he is dang old and just sleeps and is boring. I actually got him during a spruce moment!)

We had a really fun time in Tucson but had to come back for work. Matt had to work on the 4th of July so when he got home we bbq'd some steak and around 9pm decided to drive down to the Goodyear ballpark and see the fireworks.....That place was so packed so we parked on a side street and after about 3 minutes of fireworks we decided we had came and conquered and we went home.

Here's some happy news, I finished my first 5 week course! and I passed! Yay. If you get lower than an 84% you get kicked out of the program! They mean seriously business at ASU. My next 5 week course goes until Aug. 3rd and then I will start full time at the end of August. I am enjoying school and it helps that I'm not working because it's really intense. Oh and I got the internship I wanted so that is really GREAT news!

Here's some happy news for Matt, today we were at Target shopping and he noticed the X-box 360 was on sale for $129.99 plus you got a $30 gift card so technically it was only $100. I could see the inner child excitement in his eyes so I told him he could get it. He is currently playing Halo 3 and I'm starting to wonder if it was such a good idea for me to let him get it.....but he did give me the $30 gift card! So I guess it's a win-win after all.

Off to Utah on Tuesday! Can't wait for some Peterson family reunion time. Sad we are missing the Moffitt Family reunion tomorrow but I'm concocting a big beach house reunion for next year!

Sweet...I'll tell Eddie Matt has that now!!! Welcome to my world, ha. Actually, Eddie's thing is now the PS3, but I have to give him credit that he isn't on it as much, ha. Miss you and have fun at the reunion!!!

hey Ami! The reunion next year is in CA. Janee is in charge of it for 2011. I will see about Saturday I would love to see you. We only have one car and Franco will have it. What is your email address? You can email it to me at happygoluckyang@Hotmail.com. And FYI..as soon as I bought Franco a computer game I totally regretted it at least for a month, then the excitement wore off and he didn't play as much :)
