Money Pit

I am so exhausted right now I don't think I can function but I have to write a post. I'm OCD like that and I just can't let my 5 readers down.

I love being a home owner and I especially love doing whatever I want to the place because it's mine (or if you want to get technical, it will be mine in another 29 years). So while it costs a ton of money and sucks all our of weekends away, we have been making some 'improvements' on our casa.

#1 Matt installed crown molding in the den. He did this all by hand with no electric saw or anything. Pretty proud if you can't tell!

#2 For the remaining 3 weeks of my Summer vacation I decided I needed a project and the laundry room became my victim. I wanted to add some color to the walls and add side panel boarding. After some research I knew I had to enlist Matt's talent. I choose a light green color for the walls and the side panels came in a package along with the base boards and chair rails. Matt told me that if he was going to help he HAD to have a miter saw....so he got one.

I purchased some things for the walls and bought a litter box cover for the cats box so it's not the eye sore of the room anymore. I think it turned out looking pretty snazzy!

After:

(so the wall behind the washer and dryer is painted the green color and it doesn't look like it in this picture....it's really bothering me!)

#3 We replaced all of the hall lights. They weren't the prettiest lights and Matt's brother kept hitting his head on them so we had a good excuse to change them.
