Three Years and Counting
Three years ago today was the best day of my life! Everything was perfect and I wish I could relive it over and over again. Have you guessed what day it was yet? (I tried to think of something clever to say here but I've got nothing!) Yes Matt and I were sealed in the Washington D.C. Temple! I can't believe it has been three years. I remember my first Sunday in the married ward when everyone was introducing themselves and saying how long they had been married. There I was, married 2 weeks and some girls were saying 6 months, 1 year, 2 years. I kept thinking dang that is a long time but really it's not, cause I'm there and past that. In May the nursing home I work at threw a party for a resident and his wife who had been married for 70 years!! Now that is a long time. Can't wait to celebrate our 70th! How about a trip down memory lane..............

Time Capsule
My dad's side of the family had our bi-annual reunion this past week. 10 years ago we put together a time capsule. We put in tapes, pictures and letters. We opened this capsule last week and I just have to share some things with you.
My family decided to put in individual letters. My Grandpa started reading them but they were all like 10 pages long! It's so weird to read your thoughts from so long ago. My baby sister Hailey wasn't even alive! So my letter was a 7 page typed letter. I documented my latest Hanson concert, how I loved animals, who my best friends were, and how I disliked school and chores! At the end of the letter I predicted my future. In 10 years I predicted this....(this is exactly how I wrote it in the letter, bad grammar and all!)
"I think in ten years from now I will hopefully be married and will be almost 24. I really want to attend a mission but if I fall in love before I will get married. I wish to attend BYU and get my masters in teaching in science or English. If I can't make it into BYU I wish to attend Dixie College in St. George. I want to be a teacher and live in California or Utah. I also want to be a champion diver I'm on the diving team right now, (I know a front dive, back dive, inward dive, and I'm learning a front flip.) I want to have my own car. I think that about tells everything about me. Bye."
Oh the future of a 13 year old teenager. I did get married! Had no memories of wanting to be a science or english teacher. Still want to live in CA. Never did become a champion diver. The front flip just never caught on! Oh and I do have my own car....score one for me!
Ok i have to put in one more paragraph because I think it is hilarious!
"The things I dislike are school a lot, My school is really evil and I hate it. I also dislike chores (probably because my dad is a chore fanatic.)"
Life was way too simple back then! I mean it's definitely hard being a teenager but I can think of 100 more things I dislike now. I wish I could just post the entire letter because to me it is hilarious. Let's just say I was way too obsessed with Hanson and I loved to go on AOL haahah.
My sister Lauren, 20, wrote a letter for the time capsule and in it I found a new word for my vocabulary. I am sure it will catch on! Here is what it says, (again bad grammar and all)
"My sister Crystal who is 11, and I share a room with, always call me a Morsk wich means moron and ugly and fat and a boy and stupid, and mean and a brat and other words like that but mainly fat and brat ugly."
I know that is SO mean but I cannot stop laughing. Oh the joys of sisters! So if I call you a Morsk....you now know what I mean. ;)
I think we are all planning on making another 10 year time capsule. Crazy to think what my life will be like in 10 years......

"I Thought You Were Just Getting Fat!"
My lack of energy/no posting is not because we haven't been doing anything fun lately.....well compared to the 10 days of KA we haven't! I am currently on day 6 of post surgery...ok ok, it was just my wisdom teeth but still, if you have had them out you know how hideous it is! The procedure went well and all 4 teeth came out with no problems. Here are the 5 things I learned from this experience....
1. I am allergic to Hydrocodone....isn't everyone?? The toilet was my best friend for day 1.
2. I love the show 'Family Feud'. I watched it every day at 11am. One day I aspire to be on that show!
3. Even though I have only eaten soup, smoothies, yogurt, pudding, and Popsicles for 6 days I have lost NO weight. I guess anorexia would not suit me well.
4. I do not have an attractive chubby side. My face BLEW up....I might be tempted to post pictures just to prove my unattractiveness but then I would just stress about it. Every time I looked into the mirror I was well reminded of my looks. My sister told me I looked scary every few minutes and my mom kept laughing at me. Now I am not offended by any of this because I was laughing too!
I went back to work yesterday and everyone kept telling me how cute I was and that I looked like a little chipmunk. The best comment was from my favorite nurse, Rosie. I was sitting at the nurses station going through some charts when someone started to ask me questions about my experience. My dear nurse Rosie looked over and said, "what happened?" I told her I had had my wisdom teeth out....she paused and then said, "I have been looking at you all day.....I thought you were just getting fat!!!" HAHA I love her. So if you see me in the next few days....no I am not getting fat...or at least I don't think I am. Although another lady told me I didn't look any different to her!
5. And last but not least I learned that I have many wonderful caring family members and friends. I had texts, phone calls and visits from friends and family. I know most people get their teeth removed and it's not that big of a deal. But I am a baby and a drama queen so it was a big deal to me! I felt very loved so thanks to all who thought of me, I am very glad to know I have so many wonderful people in my life.

You can kind of see the girl who played Tracey in the background. She has a brown dress on.
